Territory school students have the exciting opportunity to feel the roar of the Supercars up close at the betr Darwin Triple Crown Supercars Indigenous Round, thanks to a program supported by Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC).
NTMEC works with Supercars to facilitate the Students on Track program, which provides free entry to Hidden Valley Motor Sports Complex on the first day of racing (Friday, 16 June 2023) for students and their teachers, who get to enjoy a behind-the-scenes experience like no other.
The community engagement initiative gives students the chance to put some of their racing heroes on the spot at a mock press conference, and get up close to the actual Supercars and racing team members in the pits.
Students are also given a workbook to promote discovery and learning, with teachers able to use the Supercars as a base for real-world education in STEM – science, technology, engineering and maths.
Once the official learning is over, students and teachers are welcome to stay onsite and soak up the trackside action to really get a feel for everything the event offers.
The fun continues all weekend, with children aged 13 and under able to attend the betr Darwin Triple Crown for free with a paying adult. The event takes place from 16-18 June 2023.
