Deloitte is setting up a Centre for Innovation and Technology in Adelaide, South Australia. It will be Deloitte’s first such centre in Australia.
The professional services firm expects to create 500 new jobs over the next two years. This will bring the number of staff in South Australia to 800.
Tapping into South Australia’s innovation ecosystem to create new solutions
Deloitte plans to use South Australia’s innovation ecosystem to develop new technology and audit solutions. The Centre will partner with university researchers on areas such as artificial intelligence, data analytics and cyber.
Deloitte will deploy these solutions in clients’ technology transformation initiatives. These include large-scale projects in the public sector, and defence and space industries.
‘Our Adelaide Centre for Innovation and Technology further,’ says Adam Powick, Deloitte Australia CEO. ‘It enhances our ability to support our clients with digital risk, digital accounting, cyber, data, and cloud technology capabilities.’
Deloitte’s Adelaide office is also offering up to 60 new roles over the next 12 months.
The Centre for Innovation and Technology will open later in 2021. Deloitte plans to set up more centres across Australia over the next 18 months.

Deloitte chose Adelaide because of its confidence in the South Australian economy and the exceptional talent market.
