Appointment of Ms Fran Kilgariff AM as Deputy of the Administrator of the Northern Territory
His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory has today appointed distinguished Territorian, Ms Fran Kilgariff AM as Deputy of the Administrator of the Northern Territory, resident in Alice Springs.
Ms Kilgariff will represent His Honour in Central Australia at community and ceremonial events. The Deputy of the Administrator is one of the highest public offices in the Northern Territory and serves as representative of the Administrator in the region.
Ms Kilgariff brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished background to her new role. She has been recognised for her outstanding contributions to the social and economic progress of Alice Springs, she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM), the Order is Australia’s pre-eminent form of recognition. She is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD) and a Sister of the Order of St John (StJ).
Her educational background includes a Graduate Diploma of Education, Degree in Prehistoric Archaeology, and a Diploma of Radiography. Currently, Ms Kilgariff is self-employed as a consultant and is the Coordinator for Central Australia at the Council on the Ageing Northern Territory.
Her extensive experience in public service, community representation and working as a champion for her region and the Territory, stand her in good stead to represent the highest office in the Northern Territory in Central Australia.
