Detectives arrest Reservoir teen after Preston carjacking

Mill Park Serious Crime Unit detectives have arrested a 15-year-old Reservoir boy in relation to an alleged aggravated carjacking in Preston on Thursday.

Investigators believe the victim was driving his Nissan Navara with a motorcycle on a trailer attached, out of a petrol station on Bell Street about 9.10pm.

It is alleged the offender pulled up next to the victim in a silver Subaru station wagon armed with a weapon and made demands for his vehicle.

The victim obliged and alleged offender then drove away in convoy with the silver Subaru.

The boy has been charged with aggravated carjacking and remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
