Devonport’s paranaple arts centre is encouraging audiences to get back into the theatre as it prepares to launch its 2023 performance season, with the community invited to attend on
Monday, 5 December.
Devonport City Council’s Convention and Arts Centre Manager, Geoff Dobson, said the free event will announce each of the season’s 15 productions, which includes an Australian-produced international touring play, major national touring performances, hard-hitting doco-drama, outstanding children’s and family productions, community productions and a great line up of musical events.
“It’s exciting to be getting back to some sort of normality and consistency after several years of disruption in the live performance sector,” Mr Dobson said.
“We are very proud of the season the team has been able to bring together for 2023. There are some outstanding productions, including one Australian produced work, that was recently performed on the West End, London.
“We are also demonstrating our support for local producers and content, supporting several local performances in our season.”
Mr Dobson encouraged existing and past members, and anyone interested to come along and enjoy the launch.
“There will be sneak-peak performances, and guest appearances on the night, plus, post-show refreshments provided,” Mr Dobson said.
“The box-office will be open for anyone who wants to buy their membership and tickets for 2023 or pick up some tickets for a special Christmas present.”
The 2023 Performance Season Launch will start at 7.30pm on Monday, 5 December 2022 at the paranaple arts centre in Devonport. Attendance is free, but please book online at or call
