Dibb, Law among five Knights re-signed for 2022 season

The nib Newcastle Knights have today confirmed the retention of five players who played in the Knights inaugural NRLW season earlier this year.

Bobbi Law, Emma Manzelmann, Kyra Simon, Autumn-Rain Stephens-Daly and Kirra Dibb have all agreed to return to play for the Knights in the 2022 competition.

³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾grown talent, Bobbi Law, is a versatile outside-back who played in all five games this year and was recently apart of the NSW Sky Blues extended squad.

The Nelson Bay product also played for the Indigenous All Stars and previously represented the Prime Ministers XIII.

Emma Manzelmann re-joins the Club after an impressive debut NRLW season.

The 20-year-old Mackay product came to the Knights as a swimming prodigy having also represented Queensland at Under 18’s level rugby league.

Last Saturday, the electric dummy half won the BMD Premiership Grand Final with the North Queensland Gold Stars and was named Player of the Match.

Current NSW Origin Blues representative and former Jillaroo, Kirra Dibb, is back for another season in the red and blue jersey.

The 24-year-old will enter her fourth season in the NRLW competition, bringing a wealth of experience, game management and a strong kicking game.

Kiwi Fern international, Autumn-Rain Stephens-Daly, calls Newcastle home having played in all five games for the Knights last season and currently playing for the Club’s Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership side.

Stephens-Daly possesses speed and athleticism to strengthen the Knights outside-back stocks.

Local product Kyra Simon has progressed through the Knights pathways system and will again line-up for the Knights in the 2022 competition.

Having played Indigenous All Stars earlier this year, Simon has developed into a strong defender who will help solidify the Knights middles and rucks defence.
