Digital Champions Forum to Be Held in Warsaw: Digital Reskilling Training for Ukrainian Women Evacuees in Poland

Hiroshima, Japan – will hold the “Digital Champions” forum on 20-21 February 2024 in Warsaw as the final session of the digital reskilling training programme for Ukrainian women evacuees in Poland. More than 40 top-performing programme participants will be invited to join the forum, where they will discuss and present data analytics, cybersecurity, geographic information systems, or digital graphics and web design.

The forum will also provide several businesses the opportunity to introduce their companies to the participants, who are equipped with high-demand digital skills. Interested .

The digital reskilling training programme launched in October 2023 with over 500 Ukrainian women evacuees in Poland. This programme was made possible by the generous support of the People and Government of Japan.

Digital Champions Forum

The Digital Champions forum will feature four discussion sessions – on data analytics, cybersecurity, geographic information systems, and digital graphics and web design – matching the courses the participants specialized in. In each session, participants will make short pitches and present the ideas they worked on in their final assignment.

Bolstering Livelihoods: Digital reskilling programme for Ukrainian women evacuees in Poland

Bolstering Livelihoods: A Digital reskilling programme for Ukrainian women evacuees in Poland was launched in October 2023 to train approximately 500 Ukrainian women evacuees in Poland in high-demand digital skills, with the ultimate goal of improving their livelihood potential.

The programme participants chose from one of four tracks: data analytics, cybersecurity, geographic information systems, and digital graphics and web design. After completing self-paced online training, over 40 outstanding participants were selected to participate in the final forum in Warsaw through a joint review by participating educational institutions and UNITAR Hiroshima Office.

The programme was a successful collaborative endeavour among institutions and companies in Ukraine (Kyiv Mohyla Academy, Ukraine Catholic University), Poland (Polish Japanese Academy of Information Technology), and Japan (Japanese start-up company Eukarya).
