Diverse list of finalists shortlisted for the 2023 Eastside Business Awards

In addition to a record number of votes, the 2023 Eastside Business Awards has also generated a dynamic and diverse list of finalists, which have today been revealed by Mayor Robert Bria.

“The Eastside Business Awards are a brilliant opportunity to recognise outstanding people and businesses who are excelling in our community,” Mayor Bria said.

“I am very pleased today to announce the list of finalists, and with more than 11,000 votes this year, they should feel very proud for making this prestigious short list,” he said.

“The list of finalists is probably the most diverse in the six-year history of the Awards which is a fantastic result.

“The Council is always interested in the stories and the people behind the business, which more often than not, start from very humble beginnings.

“All of these elements combined, make these Awards an excellent initiative, which hopefully inspires others.”

The Awards – which are a partnership between City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters and Solstice Media – celebrate a range of categories including: Best Arts & Cultural / Entertainment Experience, Best Café / Restaurant, Best Coffee, Best Customer Experience, Best Fashion Retailer, Best Food / Beverage Manufacturer, Best Hair / Beauty Salon, Best Independent Small Business, Best Professional Service, Best Pub / Bar.

Those crowned the best of the east will win a $1,000 advertising package with Solstice Media and a choice of business advisory service (business planning, budget and forecasting or bookkeeping training) to the value of $1,000 with AFM Services.

The winners – including the prestigious Hall of Fame Award for a business that has been operating in the area for more than 20 years – will be announced at an Awards Ceremony on 19 April at St Peters Banquet Hall.
