Almost $12 million has been allocated to Division 2 in the Sunshine Coast Council 2020/21 budget handed down today to support our community.

Divisional councillor Terry Landsberg said the budget was a great outcome for the people in Division 2.

“I am really happy that we will be able to do so much for the residents in Division 2, from upgrades to the Caloundra Aquatic Centre and Kings Beach Pool to mountain biking facilities, reserve trails and coastal pathways as well as playground improvements,” Cr Landsberg said.

“The is one of the most important projects for our division, and we will progress this planning to work towards bringing the to life.

“It will encourage new investment in the central business district of Caloundra – the Sunshine Coast’s City of Beaches.

“The Caloundra Indoor Stadium is one of the busiest sporting facilities in our Division. It will be wonderful to have the access upgraded to better accommodate people with disabilities as well as improvements to attract more high-profile teams to our region.
