Mount Gambier Library will host two bestselling authors in one night with Darry Fraser and Maya Linnell on Monday 31 July at 7:00pm.
Darry Fraser is well known for writing stories of ordinary people in nineteenth century Australia, who are drawn into difficult circumstances: adventure, mystery, mayhem, love, life, against the backdrop of historical events.
Maya Linnell’s rural romances ooze warmth and authenticity as she gathers inspiration from her rural upbringing and small communities. She is a self-confessed baker, green thumb, and DIY junkie with a strong social media presence.
“This is an in-conversation event, and these delightful women will have you entertained discussing, writing, research, inspirations and their latest books,” Team Leader Library Programs Kristi Brooks said.
Darry Fraser’s latest historical adventure ‘The Forthright Woman’ is full of strong female women, mystery, and sizzling romance. Set in the Flinders Rangers, the story switches between 1898 and 1955 and has widow Marcella Ross discovering the truth behind a deadly family mystery.
Maya’s fourth book ‘Kookaburra Cottage’ is set in the Limestone Coast where Alice Lacey is determined to lead her family’s winery into the current market, but soon discovers the crumbling historic building and her father’s reluctance to join the food tourism revolution are just the beginning of her uphill battle.
