Public Notice is given that the Council has prepared its .

The Council Plan is the key strategic document for the Council and contains:

• Council vision, purpose and values
• strategic objectives of the Council
• strategies and initiatives for achieving the objectives
• strategic indicators to monitor achievement of objectives.

The Strategic Resource Plan, which sets out the financial and non-financial resources to achieve the strategic objectives over the next four years, will be adopted by 31 August 2020 with the 2020/21 Budget.

The Draft Council Plan 2017-2021 (2020 Review) can be downloaded from the Council’s website www.benalla.vic.gov.au

Submission process

Any person proposing to make a submission the Draft Council Plan 2017-2021 (2020 Review) must do so in writing before 5pm Wednesday 20 May 2020 in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

Any person who lodges a written submission may request in their submission that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in their written submission, at a meeting to be heard in support of their submission.

Submitters will be identified in a public report to the Council on submissions received and this information will become part of the public record. If you do not wish to be identified, please indicate this in your submission.

Key dates

All meetings are scheduled to be held at the Benalla Civic Centre (Council Meeting Room), 13 Mair Street, Benalla commencing at 6pm. Meetings are open to members of the public.
