A 36-year-old man had his car immediately impounded after he was caught over the limit at a PBT site in West Footscray tonight.
Westgate Highway Patrol officers were conducting preliminary breath tests on Sunshine Road when a black MG drove through about 7.30pm.
The driver returned a positive preliminary breath test before then conducting a breath test where he returned a reading of 0.264
A Wyndham Vale man had his car immediately impounded at a cost of $806 and is expected to be charged on summon with drink driving and other related traffic offences.
Operation Scoreboard will run state-wide this weekend and will see police conducting widespread roadside alcohol and drug testing across the state.
