A drink driver has been stopped driving on rims at Leawood Gardens this morning.
About 1.50am Monday 4 December police were patrolling in the eastern suburbs when they saw a Toyota sedan travelling south on Glen Osmond Road. As patrols were watching the car they allegedly observed it veering over all three lanes.
Police activated their emergency lights to pull the car over, at the same time the rear passenger tyre blew, however the Toyota continued on to the South Eastern Freeway.
The car eventually stopped, police breath tested the driver, a 24-year-old Bridgewater man, allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.188.
He was reported for drink driving and lost his licence on the spot for 12 months. His car was impounded for 28 days and he will appear in Court at a later date.
