As part of Operation Arid police intercepted a drink driver in Geelong who told them he was on his way to pick up his children from a nearby birthday party.
The man was pulled over on Saturday 9 March around 11am following which he provided an evidentiary breath test which resulted in a reading of .186.
The local driver had his vehicle impounded and his licence immediately suspended.
Operation Arid ran from 12.01am on Friday 8 March until 11.50 Monday 11 March, 2019.
