Police have caught two alleged drink drivers in Taylors Lakes last night.
Officers were operating a random breath testing site on Kings Road when a woman was waved in for a test about 7pm.
The 63-year-old underwent a preliminary breath test before undertaking an evidentiary breath test, returning an alleged reading of 0.227.
The Delahey woman’s vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1014.
A few hours later, officers waved a man in to be tested about 10.20pm.
The 48-year-old from Bundoora underwent a preliminary breath test before undertaking an evidentiary breath test, returning an alleged reading of 0.213.
His car was impounded 30 days at a cost $999.
The pair are expected to be charged on summons with traffic related offences.
