Campbelltown residents with a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath are being encouraged to get tested for COVID-19 at a free pop up clinic in the Campbelltown Sports Stadium car park.
The clinic will be open 9.30am to 4pm from Tuesday 19 May to Saturday 23 May at the corner of Pembroke Road and Rose Payten Drive, Leumeah.
People will be able to remain in their cars while getting tested and are encouraged to self-isolate while waiting for their test results.
Residents are also reminded they can get tested at the Campbelltown Hospital COVID-19 assessment clinic on weekdays from 10am to 5.40pm and weekends from 10am to 3pm.
“It’s critically important while as restrictions begin to ease that anyone with even the mildest of symptoms is tested to help health authorities quickly track infections and respond swiftly to any outbreaks,” said Mayor George Brticevic.
“This is an essential step in returning our society to normal and keeping everyone in our community safe, particularly those most at risk such as the elderly and those with underlying medical conditions,” Cr Brticevic said.
“I urge everyone, even if you’re only displaying mild symptoms, to go and get tested,” he said.
