Drive-through testing clinic opens at Todd Facility in Alice Springs

Department of Health

The Central Australia Health Service (CAHS) has relocated the COVID-19 drive-through testing clinic to the Todd Facility in Alice Springs.

The clinic is now at 34 Stott Terrace and will be open Monday to Friday from 8:30-11:00am and 2:00-4:30pm seven days a week.

“The drive-through screening clinic offers testing for people who may be displaying possible COVID-19 symptoms as well as an additional testing service for people arriving in the Northern Territory from interstate,” said Dr Samuel Goodwin, chair of the Southern Region Medical and Public Health Group.

“Anyone wanting to be tested at the drive-through clinic will need to make an appointment first by calling 1800 008 002,” Dr Greenwood Smith said.

The Todd Facility is a secure site and only people with an appointment can enter.

“Given this is a drive-through clinic, people must be in a private vehicle to be tested and have an appointment,” Dr Goodwin said.

Children under 12 years of age will not be tested at the drive-through testing clinic. Parents need to make an appointment with their GP.

“The clinic is being coordinated by staff members from the Central Australia Health Service, supported by Territory Families and Police,” Dr Goodwin said.

Aside from the COVID-19 drive-through testing clinic, testing is available at the following locations:
