Police have arrested a man after he was detected speeding more than 45km/h over the limit at Riverstone earlier this week.
About 3:45pm on Tuesday 3 November 2020, officers from Quakers Hill Highway Patrol detected blue Subaru allegedly travelling at 114km/h in a 60km/h zone along Railway Terrance, Riverstone.
The vehicle was stopped by police and the driver, a 32-year-old man, was subjected to a roadside drug test which allegedly returned a positive result.
The driver was arrested and conveyed to Riverstone Police Station where a secondary test was conducted returning a positive result to methamphetamine.
The Bidwill man was issued with an infringement notice for exceed speed limit over 45km/h.
His licence was suspended for six months and the vehicle registration plates were seized for three months.
Further charges are pending the outcome of the drug test.
