A man has been charged with drug supply on the second day of a music festival in Sydney’s south west.
Officers from Camden Police Area Command, with assistance from officers from Campbelltown, Liverpool City, and Fairfield City along with South West Metropolitan Region Licensing and the Dog Unit, established a high-visibility operation at the Secret Garden Music Festival at Camden to target anti-social behaviour, alcohol-related crime and liquor licensing legislation.
Yesterday (Saturday 23 February 2019), during the second day of the operation, there was a total of 25 drug detections for MDMA, LSD and cannabis.
Of note, a 22-year-old Darlington man was arrested about 3.30pm after allegedly being found in possession of 32 LSD tabs, three tablets believed to contain dexamphetamine, and a capsule believed to contain MDMA.
He was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug and two counts of possess prohibited drug.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court on Tuesday 26 March 2019.
A further 12 revellers were issued Future Court Attendance Notices for drug offences.
They are all due to appear at Picton Local Court on Tuesday 26 March 2019.
Nine people were issued Criminal Infringement Notices, four cannabis cautions were issued and seven people were ejected for intoxication.
Day three of the police operation commenced this morning (Sunday 24 February 2019), targeting drink and drug driving in the surrounding area.
