Two men with outlaw motorcycle gang links have been arrested over drug trafficking offences.
It will be alleged that between April and 17 August 2023 they trafficked in a commercial quantity of methamphetamine.
The search of a property at Myrtle Bank resulted in the seizure of over 500 grams of methamphetamine.
On Thursday 17 August, officers from SAPOL’s Serious and Organised Crime Branch arrested two 28-year-old men, one from Lightsview and the other from Seaford for trafficking in methamphetamine.
The man from Lightsview is a senior member of the Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, while the Seaford man is an associate of the Finks.
Both men were refused bail and will appear in the AMC today.
Detective Chief Inspector David Huddy, Officer in Charge of the Crime Gangs Task Force says, “This seizure of a commercial amount of methamphetamine is significant in its volume and its link with a criminal enterprise involving an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. The Serious and Organised Crime Branch use the broader resources of SAPOL and our partner agencies to disrupt the organised criminal activities of outlaw motorcycle gang members, their associates and professional facilitators.
Anyone with information about outlaw motorcycle gangs, the manufacture, sale and possession of illegal drugs is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. You can remain anonymous.”
