Drugs seized in Hallam as trafficking charges laid

Detectives from the Illicit Firearms Squad have arrested a man and a woman overnight and seized various quantities of drugs of dependence and cash, following an investigation into the alleged trafficking of drugs and firearms.

On Thursday (19 October) a warrant was executed at a residential address on Albert Road in Hallam.

A 28-year-old Hallam man was charged with traffick methylamphetamine, traffick cannabis, cultivate cannabis and possess proceeds of crime.

He was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 4 March, 2023.

A 33-year-old Cranbourne woman present at the address was also arrested.

She was subsequently interviewed for possess methylamphetamine and is expected to be charged on summons.

Investigators seized various quantities of what appear to be methylamphetamine, dried cannabis, cannabis plants, cannabis seedlings and a quantity of cash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
