In progressing the next stage of its Economic Development Plan, Dungog Shire Council has appointed the following council representatives and community stakeholders to the provisional Economic Development Plan Advisory Group, which will commence this month and end in June 2022, upon adoption of the Plan:

- Cr Jessica Clark, B Ward Councillor
- Cr Digby Rayward, C Ward Councillor
- Marion Stuart, President, Dungog District Chamber of Commerce
- Cameron Archer, President, Dungog Regional Tourism
- Jane Thompson, Principal, Addison Partners
- Grahame Chevalley, Director, GWH and Hunter Construction Group
- Dee Braithwaite, Principal, Ray White Rural Lifestyle
- James Lovegrove, Manager, Lovey’s Grocers IGA
- Annabel Kater, Director, Australian Sustainable Timber
The Advisory Group comprises of local business leaders in the fields of agriculture, construction, real estate, retail and tourism, who were nominated on the basis of their industry experience and supported by peer recommendations.
The Group will meet on four separate occasions between late February and June 2022, to advise on the governance and management structure needed to implement the Plan after its adoption.
Extensive community and business consultation will be also be conducted during the Plan’s development, including a community survey and up to 50 individual interviews conducted via Expressions of Interest. A draft Plan will be submitted to council and exhibited for 28 days, with all feedback received during the exhibition period being considered prior to final adoption of a new Economic Development Plan for Dungog Shire.
