At some point in our lives, we are all inevitably affected by death. It could be the loss of loved ones, or it could be our own. Most of us feel uncomfortable thinking and talking about end of life.
Each year, on 8 August, Dying to Know Day aims to break down the stigma and discomfort surrounding conversations about death, dying, and grief. This year, the focus is on personalising final arrangements and building community.
Let’s work together to break down the stigma and awkwardness surrounding these conversations. Supporting the community through this stage of life and understanding the importance of planning for the end of life is a crucial part of Dying to Know Day.
It’s important that everyone knows, understands and respects wishes for this important life stage. There are plenty of resources online and in your local library to help ensure you and your loved ones experience a good death.
