Easter in Australia has dramatically changed. Loneliness, isolation and cabin fever of serious concern.
Easter message is one of hope in the face of social Isolation, mental wellbeing and emotional well being.
With the Covid-19 pandemic in full swing around the world and the Government requirements for social distancing, social isolation and mental health issues are rising dramatically.
“The cure is creating greater problems,” said Pastor Ashley Evans Senior Pastor Influencers Church.
“We are observing greater levels of depression, anxiety, loneliness, poor sleep quality and fearfulness.
“Research shows us that all of these disorders are precursors to suicide and in the current lockdowns and social isolation people are finding it difficult to connect with others.
“In the current messiness of the world, the Easter message is a message of hope.
“Its Friday but Sunday is coming. Jesus died on Friday but rose again on Sunday.
“There is feeling of darkness but the hope we have is that this doesn’t last because Jesus is the light of the world.
“Although people are worried, the Easter message is one of comfort and care through Jesus’ death and resurrection” Ps Evans concluded.
