Liverpool is bringing its annual food, art and music festival Eat Your Heart Out to a brand new location in the CBD on August 31 – Norfolk Serviceway, between Bathurst Street and Memorial Avenue.
Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said the aim of the festival was to showcase different corners of Liverpool’s City Centre each year, giving local businesses a chance to shine.
“There is a growing food scene at the southern end of Liverpool and we have a chance to highlight the businesses that back on to the Serviceway,” Mayor Waller said.
“We started in Macquarie Mall and Bigge Park, then last year, we moved to Railway Street, closing the street off to traffic and bringing in music, markets, games, food and a fabulous festival atmosphere.”
Eat Your Heart Out Liverpool brings together great food, music and art – a feast for your belly and for your soul.
“We have plans for a new mural to add to Liverpool’s colourful streetscape, art installations, a great line-up of music curated by Settlement Services International and of course some great food,” Mayor Waller said.
“Food trucks and businesses who want to be involved in this year’s festival are encouraged to submit an expression of interest by Friday, 7 June.
“Eat Your Heart Out is a fantastic chance to showcase your delicious food in our growing city.”
Eat Your Heart Out Liverpool will be held from 1pm to 9pm on Saturday, 31 August at Norfolk Serviceway.
Visit for details and submit an EOI by Friday, 7 June.
