Education export opportunities have moved

Austrade

Austrade is refreshing the process to manage education export opportunities published through the Market Information Package (MIP).

We are changing the name from ‘Opportunities’ to ‘Find Export Leads’ and moving to a new digital platform, MyAustrade. We will also join the to verify users.

The new export leads service will allow users to see export leads as soon as they’re published, submit online expressions of interest (rather than Word templates), track the progress of their submissions and view previously submitted expressions of interest, all in one place.

Export leads will still be published in the MIP Weekly newsletter, with a link provided to access further information. To view the full details or to respond to an export lead, users will need to login using their secure Digital Identity, myGovID. Users will be able to use their myGovID identity when using other online government services as well.

There is a two-step registration process that needs to be completed by all MIP users once.

Step 1 – Set up a myGovID

For instructions on how to set up your myGovID, visit

Before you start, please make sure you have a:

  • compatible smart device and access to the Apple App store or Google Play
  • personal email address that is not shared or your work email address

You will need to verify at least two Australian identity documents to achieve a standard identity strength, so it is a good idea to have those ready too.

Please note at this stage, international staff who can’t meet the criteria of at least two Australian identity documents will not be able to set up a myGovID and access export leads through this service.

We’re investigating options for offshore staff to access export leads and will keep you updated on any progress.

Step 2 – Link your myGovID to your organisation in RAM (Relationship Authorisation Manager)

To complete the registration, you will need to link your organisation to your individual account.

If you are not the principal authority of the business, you may need to ask your organisation’s RAM (Relationship Authorisation Manager) officer to link your myGovID, so that you are authorised to view export leads and submit EOIs on behalf of your organisation.

You can check with your HR department or MIP Account Administrator to find out who the RAM officer for your organisation is.
