EIT Urban Mobility and RMIT have joined forces to foster the growth of high-potential leaders within the public sector across Europe, equipping them with the skills and perspective to effectively manage and innovate in an increasingly complex landscape.
The new program will give high-potential leaders access to RMIT’s modern leadership program by CoVE, RMIT University’s College of Vocational Education and FORWARD, the Centre for Future Skills and Workforce Transformation.
Program participants will be nominated by their city leaders in collaboration with EIT Urban Mobility to undertake a six-month leadership development journey, with the first edition commencing in early 2024.
Throughout the program, the groups of 8 to 10 emerging leaders will build networks and develop connections through learning circles, executive coaching, meetings with executive leaders and a bespoke conference.
On completion of the transformational learning experience, an alumni community of practice will maintain ongoing collaboration.
RMIT’s College of Vocational Education Deputy Vice-Chancellor Mish Eastman said the program delivers benefits for participants, the cities where they work, and for city leaders and their executive teams.
“For the future leader undertaking the program, there’s an incredible opportunity to build a network of peers from diverse backgrounds while exploring practical insights into modern leadership and the challenges and opportunities facing the workforce of the future in the space of urban mobility,” Eastman said.
