Northern District Police are investigating three deliberate, reckless fires at an education campus at Elizabeth today.
Police and fire crews responded to reports of a fire in a toilet block at the Elizabeth TAFE campus, Woodford Road, Elizabeth just after 10am on Tuesday 19 November.
The fire was extinguished by MFS crews.
The asbestos toilet block will need to be demolished and removed, at significant cost.
While emergency services were at the scene. Two other fires were reported at the campus, one in a rubbish bin and one in a building.
The building was evacuated and there were no reported injuries.
Crime scene investigators and fire cause investigators attended the scenes.
Police are concerned by this reckless lighting of fires, particularly the day before a day of catastrophic fire danger.
