Emergency crews responding to fire in grow house in Findon, South Australia

Emergency services attended a fire at a grow house at Findon tonight.

Police and fire crews were called to Bernard Street, Findon about 6.45pm on Monday 1 July by reports of smoke coming from the roof of the premises.

Fire crews entered and found a small cannabis grow room inside. The fire was extinguished.

The fire is believed to have been accidental and started as a result of cannabis cultivation.

A 33-year-old Athol Park man was reported for cultivating cannabis and possess prescribed equipment. He will be summonsed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
