Is there equipment or infrastructure works that your sporting club or community organisation needs to thrive?
Last year Wodonga Heart Footbal Club were in need of four new soccer goals down at Willow Park.
The club applied for a Community Impact Infrastructure Grant through Wodonga Council and was successful.
“We applied for $10,000 to go towards the purchase of four new soccer goals for Willow Park,” Wodonga Heart Football Club Secretary Rose Martin said.
“The process of applying for the grant was easy and staff at Wodonga Council were there to help in the process.
“We are extremely grateful for the grant money and look forward to installing the goals soon.”
The club teaches and trains the local community in the skill of soccer where teams are made from male and female participants from various ages (5 to 55 years), nationalities, disabilities and skill levels.
Ms Martin said every bit of funding helps.
“The application part was easy, I encourage others to apply.” she said.
