Endorsement of Rumney and Prosser candidates

Jeremy Rockliff, Premier

Congratulations to Gregory Brown, who has been endorsed as the Liberal Party’s candidate for the 2023 Rumney Legislative Council election, and to Jane Howlett, who will again run to represent the people of Prosser at the 2024 Legislative Council election.

Brownie is a well-known figure on the Eastern Shore and has built a successful farming business in the heart of Rumney, adding to the local economy.

I have seen first-hand the passion and commitment Brownie has for the region, and I know he will be an outstanding local member that delivers for the Rumney electorate should he be successful next year.

I am absolutely delighted that Jane Howlett MLC has put her hand up to once again represent the people of Prosser at the 2024 Legislative Council election.

Jane has been a strong voice for the region since her election in 2018 and has been a champion for a number of local issues.

Jane’s passion and commitment for Prosser is without question and I look forward to continue working with her to ensure the region maintains its strong representation and benefits from a strong local economy.

Our Government is 100 per cent focused on delivering for every Tasmanian, on the issues that are important to them.

With our economy strong and our State charging ahead, it is more important than ever to elect strong local representatives like Jane and Brownie who can deliver on their commitments as part of our strong Liberal Government team.

I look forward to working with both Jane and Brownie in the months ahead as we deliver our plan to strengthen Tasmania’s future.
