The Albanese Labor Government is continuing to support the growth of TAFE across Victoria, investing almost $2 million in Chisholm Institute under the TAFE Technology Fund.
The $1.95 million grant will be used to replace and upgrade existing equipment to include computerised numerical control (CNC) and coordinated measuring machine (CMM) technology.
The upgrades will ensure Chisholm Institute can provide Certificate IV Engineering students with advanced production and operation skills, and industry 4.0 readiness.
The Albanese Government’s $50 million TAFE Technology Fund is upgrading and expanding TAFE facilities across the country, including laboratories, workshops, new equipment, and simulated learning environments.
Today’s announcement builds on opportunities created by the Albanese and Allan Labor Governments’ strong investments in TAFE that are removing financial barriers to world-class training.
The growing number of Victorians studying and training in essential areas of the economy is helping Australia respond to skills shortages and prepare for our country’s future.
