Entries are now open in the 2019 Victorian Premier’s Sustainability Awards, providing schools, community groups, businesses and government organisations the opportunity to spotlight their sustainability.
The annual Premier’s Sustainability Awards are the most prestigious awards program of their kind in Victoria and are a terrific showcase of leading edge sustainability practice.
“Entering the Premier’s Sustainability Awards has been shown to bring entrants a range of benefits from improved team morale to better engagement and a real marketing edge,” says CEO Sustainability Victoria, Stan Krpan.
“Now is the time for any group doing good sustainability work to spotlight their sustainability.”
Joining the program’s existing ten categories, a new will make the Awards more accessible to more people.
The Environmental Volunteering category has been introduced to recognise the impact made by thousands of dedicated, unpaid individuals and groups who give their time and efforts so generously to look after our precious asset: the environment. Volunteer groups and businesses or governments who have a volunteer workforce are eligible.
As well as the new category, the Awards include categories to showcase every type of sustainability endeavor. They are: Built Environment, Community, Education, Environmental Justice, Environmental Protection, Government, Health, Innovative Products or Services, Small to Medium Sized Businesses and Large Business.
“We want to see as many entrants as possible making the most of the Awards platform,” says Mr Krpan.
“It provides a wonderful chance to reflect on their success, to enjoy recognition by their communities and to share their experiences.”
Entries close at 5pm Thursday, 13 June, 2019.
