Sit back, relax and enjoy an array of digital and live experiences in the final month of what has been a wonderfully reimagined .
From an indie-folk Open Air concert with The Dreggs, to rock music with Katie Noonan and Eumundi School of Rock, ephemeral performance art at Coolum Beach, The Bunker spoken word grand final, projection art and a celebration of Indigenous artists, it’s an incredible program of inspiration, entertainment and creativity.
Community Portfolio Councillor Rick Baberowski said the August program was an excellent way to conclude this year’s festival.
“Horizon Festival 2020 has necessarily undergone a remarkable transformation this year and what better way to bring it to a close than with a wonderful array of music, visual art and spoken word to lift all our spirits through the celebration of art and our indigenous cultural heritage,” Cr Baberowski said.
Horizon Festival Artistic Director Lynne Bradley said the August program rounded out the 2020 three-month rolling festival with a final suite of innovative and entertaining live and digital events.
“The silver lining of going online this year has been increased reach, with arts lovers from around Australia discovering for the first time, the Horizon Festival, our wonderful region, and the talented array of artists that call the Sunshine Coast home.”
