Key projects and works, including increasing Council’s energy efficiency, improving safety and general improvements, are continuing or have been completed.
A number of temporary employees have joined the ranks to assist in several projects through the Victorian Government’s Working for Victoria program.
The expanded maintenance crews will carry out more scheduled fixes ahead of time and continue to conduct checks on Council-managed buildings in the coming months.
All works are being managed with community and staff safety as the top priority.
Broadford Leisure Centre
We’ve installed new LED lights – to replace the old fluorescent lights which will help to save 50 per cent on running costs. The kitchen and toilet floors have also been replaced and repainted. The hallway was also repainted.
