While conducting routine patrols at Pimpama, police observed the man walking along the road at around midday. He attempted to evade police by entering a property on Creek Street where he allegedly stole another vehicle.
The vehicle was engaged in a short pursuit before Polair tracked the vehicle as it travelled to Helensvale.
Police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on Discovery Drive and the man was arrested shortly after 12.30pm.
