The 2022 appointment round for the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Board has seen the appointment of a highly experienced clinician.
Wide Bay Hospital and Health Board’s newest member Dr Chris Woollard is a general practitioner and clinical school educator.
Dr Woollard will be joining the nine-member board in April 2022 alongside two reappointed members, Karla Steen and Kathryn Campbell.
Continuing members Peta Jamieson, Karen Prentis, Craig Hodges, Simone Xouris, Trevor Dixon, and Leon Nehow will remain in their roles until 2024.
Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Yvette D’Ath said Dr Woollard would bring exemplary knowledge of the medical space into his role.
“I’m really excited to see someone with such a strong and diverse background join the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Board,” Ms D’Ath said.
“Dr Woollard comes to us following a career of medical work in private practice and educational work with The University of Queensland Rural Clinical School.
“Dr Woollard’s career is a clear indication of the immense care he has for his community and I look forward to seeing what he can achieve in his new appointment.”
