Northern Territory Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an explosion in Parap this morning.
Around 2:45am, emergency services attended a report of an explosion at an apartment complex on Gregory Street. On arrival, a room was found extensively damaged.
The room’s sole occupant, a 52-year-old man, received burn injuries and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A crime scene has been established at the site while police and fire investigators examine the scene.
