- Exciting opportunity to operate brand new caf in busy activity precinct
- New caf will be located in growing footprint alongside Matagarup Bridge
- Caf to open later this year
Burswood Park will soon be home to a new hospitality venue, with construction nearing completion on a new caf.
The caf has been built in a prime location overlooking the Swan River, near Matagarup Bridge.
With construction almost complete, an exciting opportunity is now being presented to hospitality providers, with an Expression of Interest called today for an operator to run a caf.
The new caf will be co-located with the Matagarup Mini Golf, which opened earlier this year, and has been a popular addition to the existing zip-line and bridge climb activities.
The successful proponent will be able to fit-out the 54 square metre caf to suit their unique vision, which will also include an alfresco dining space for up to 68 patrons and built-in staff amenities.
Opening hours, food and beverage options and liquor licensing will be up to the successful proponent and subject to all relevant approvals.
In addition to the caf, permanent operating premises for Matagarup Zip + Climb and public ablutions are also being built on Burswood Park to support these activities.
The new venue comes after the State Government increased operations at the nearby Stadium Station to seven days a week, making it more accessible than ever before for Perth families.
Expressions of Interest close on 18 September with the caf due for completion by late 2024.
As stated by Transport Minister Rita Saffioti:
“We want to see this growing precinct become a family-friendly hub, with plenty of activities and food and beverage options.
“This new caf is in a prime location along the Swan River, with existing popular attractions and of course Optus Stadium only a stone’s throw away.
“This is a great opportunity for interested and experienced hospitality providers to be able to operate a brand-new caf in what is becoming a very popular and thriving area.
“The addition of a caf in this area will really complement the current activities and draw people to the area or allow them to stop for a bite to eat or drink after a round on the Matagarup Mini Golf course or a zip-line or climb on the Matagarup Bridge.”
