Community sporting groups across NSW can access a share of $2.4 million in financial support, to increase participation as the sporting sector emerges from COVID restrictions.
The Organisation Support Program (OSP) is on top of the $25 million Sport and Recreation Recovery and Community Rebuild Package recently announced by the NSW Government.
The funding is aimed at supporting sporting clubs to return to competitions, activities, and programs across the state.
Sports Minister Natalie Ward said the comprehensive support also ensures sporting clubs have sustained success into the future.
“The COVID-19 lockdown has had a major impact on everyone’s lives, including our sport and recreation sector,” Mrs Ward said.
“As restrictions ease, this funding package will help increase participation and improve community health and wellbeing at a time when it couldn’t be needed more.”
