Sincecoming to Government we have built and upgraded more than 1320 homes- works that have changed the housing landscape in remote areas.
SenatorScullion was completely silent when the CLP failed to address the shockingstate of remote housing. They brought remote housing to a near-standstill,building just one new dwelling and replacing or upgrading only 487homes from June 2014 to June 2016.
Underthe last two years of the CLP Government and a silent CLP Senator Scullion, onenew dwelling was built. This Government has built 179 new dwellings.

NigelScullion and the CLP also failed to plan for new works, leaving it to theTerritory Labor Government to build 293 serviced lots and fund and plan afurther 1091. The Federal Government has refused to fund critical landservicing.
TheNT Government has engaged with Land Councils and peak bodies and, mostimportantly, directly with remote community residents through our Local DecisionMaking process. Community involvement is at the core of our planning, designand works. We will continue to engage directly with Territorians in remotecommunities to ensure the program suits residents needs.
Incontrast, Senator Scullion has delivered a million dollars to Land Councils butis $1.1 billion short on his promised commitment for housing which should havebeen finalised at least 12 months ago.
SenatorScullions tantrums, aimed at anyone within earshot, only serve to shore up hislegacy as the most obstructive and divisive Indigenous Affairs Minister whowill soon walk away from the job without ever having contributed a red centtowards remote housing in the Northern Territory during the five and-a-halfyears he has held the portfolio.
