The heart of Canberra will come alive this Saturday, 7 December from 3pm to 9pm for the Festive Finds City Christmas Party. Hosted by the City Renewal Authority, this free family-friendly event promises a delightful array of activities and entertainment for all ages.
Attendees can expect a magical evening filled with festive joy and community spirit. There will be:
- A line-up of Christmas-themed live music including performances from The Exhibitionists and Brass Knuckle Brass Band.
- Roving entertainment and free merry-go-round rides.
- Interactive party games and decorations.
- Food and beverages from City Walk favourites Central Social Club and Azima.
- Outdoor axe throwing from MANIAX (safe and child-friendly axes will be used).
City Walk has been adorned with extra decorations for the event. Canberrans can leave a message for the community on the well-wishes trees or create a Christmas memory at the photo setting, which features a four-metre-tall, decorated archway, giant gingerbread figures, and three giant bauble seats illuminated with fairy lights.
The Canberra Centre’s Festive Lane Markets will also return this weekend with an expanded offering in Petrie Plaza and City Walk. Discover unique gifts from regional sellers including small batch candles from At Our House, wines from Contentious Character, and handcrafted jewellery from Focus Folding.
