Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are on scene after a pedestrian was struck in Notting Hill this evening.
It is believed a male pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle in the vicinity of a bus stop on Ferntree Gully Road, near Forster Road about 7.45pm
The vehicle did not stop at the scene.
The yet to be formally identified man was treated at the scene but died before he could be taken to hospital.
Police are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and the investigation remains ongoing.
