An investigation is underway after the body of a man was found following a house fire in the state’s Central West.
About 2.20am today (Saturday 25 November 2023), emergency services responded to reports of a house on fire along Alison Drive, Woodstock, approximately 20km north of Cowra.
The fire was extinguished by NSW Rural Fire Brigade and NSW Fire and Rescue.
An inspection of the property located the body of a man. The man is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 60’s.
Officers from Chifley Police District established a crime scene that will be examined by specialist police.
