A rider has died following a crash in the state’s Riverina Region.
About 5:20pm today (Wednesday 20 November 2024), emergency services were called to Kooringal Road, Lake Albert, following reports a motorcycle and truck had collided.
On arrival, officers attached to Riverina Police District found the rider – a man believed to be aged in his 60’s – with life-threatening injuries.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital where he died.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
The driver of the truck, a 33-year-old man, was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital for mandatory testing.
Inquiries are ongoing.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
