Fatal Pedestrian Incident in South Mossman, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal vehicle and pedestrian incident in South Mossman overnight, November 23.

Emergency services were called to the Captain Cook Highway around 9.10pm following reports a pedestrian had been stuck by a white Holden Colorado ute.

The pedestrian, a 29-year-old Cooktown man, died at the scene.

The driver of the ute was not physically injured and rendered assistance to the pedestrian before emergency services arrived.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations remain ongoing.

Any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam vision is urged to come forward.
