Two men have died in a traffic crash in Coorumba overnight.
Initial investigations indicate at 10.20pm a sedan was travelling west on the Palmerston Highway when it has collided with a truck travelling in the opposite direction.
The male driver of the sedan and his male passenger died at the scene.
The driver to the truck was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The highway remains closed whilst Forensic Crash Unit investigations continue.
The Queensland Police Service is committed to reducing number of lives lost on our roads.
Data shows that serious crashes can be significantly reduced when drivers recognise and avoid the ‘Fatal Five’ behaviours: speeding, drink and drug driving, not wearing seatbelts, fatigue and distraction.
