The city’s new entertainment precinct will come to life this weekend as part of the Cairns Performing Arts Centre Open Day program.
Guided tours of the $71 million CPAC, a live performance at Munro Martin Parklands headlined by Australian icon Pete Murray, and a temporary foodie haven on Florence Street, are part of the Saturday 22 June program.
Acting Mayor Terry James said the Open Day will bring all the elements of The Precinct to life.
“Our vision was to create a unique experience for our residents and visitors, with CPAC and MMP connected via Florence Street,” Cr James said.
“For the first time the whole of The Precinct will be activated, giving residents a massive day of entertainment.”
