This family friendly event has something for everyone. Legends FAMBO (Queer art for kids and families) need your help to build a Rainbow Time Machine. Get hands-on with cardboard construction, drawing and collage for all the family as we create a colourful future together! Recommended for ages 4-100 (kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, from 12pm).

Feel The Love joins the exciting line-up and commitments from Inner West Council in their support of our vibrant LGBTQIA+ community.

“Feel the Love is a celebration of our diverse, inclusive and extraordinary LGBTQIA+ community here in the Inner West,” said Councillor Mat Howard.

With the creation in February last year of Pride Square in Newtown as a beacon of inclusion and civil rights and our work on building the new Inner West Pride Centre at the Newtown Town Hall, Inner West Council is committed to supporting and celebrating our LGBTQIA+ community with inclusive events and spaces.

The Inner West Pride Centre will deliver a vibrant hub that the community has campaigned for. With the signing of respected LGBTQIA+ community organisation Twenty10, the Inner West Pride Centre is taking shape and will open later this year. Make sure to stop by their tent at Feel The Love and have your say about the services you’d like to see.

“The Inner West is home to one of the largest concentrations of LGBTQIA+ community in the country and Pride Square and I’m proud Council continues to show leadership in supporting LGBTQIA+ communities,” said Councillor Mat Howard.

“The Inner West Pride Centre is a transformative project that will give our community a place to call home and I am so excited that Twenty10 are partnering with us to deliver this project.

“Feel the Love is a great way for local members of the LGBTQIA+ community to celebrate and participate in shaping the future of the Inner West Pride Centre in Newtown.”
