City of Canada Bay Council are the proud organisers of Ferragosto, Sydney’s largest Italian street festival in the heart of Five Dock.
Five Dock is a suburb with strong Italian roots, with many local Italian providores located along Great North Road.
Ferragosto has become an annual pilgrimage for many, attracting thousands of visitors from across Sydney who celebrate Italian pride and indulge in a feast for the senses.
This year, the event kicked off with a special welcome from none other than Prime Minister Anthony Albanese who made a special welcome address before walking down Great North Road and paying a visit to local Italian businesses, Pasticerria Tamborrino and Raineri’s Continental Delicatessen.
